Drag a handle to move a boundary. Split cuts a unit at a line; Merge joins it to the one above.

The vertical rules are column boundaries. Drag one sideways to change where a column starts, double-click the page to add one, or use its × to remove it. Moving a column boundary re-cuts the page, so it resets that page's line boundaries.

Text is the PDF's own layer, positioned over the page image at build DPI. Select it as you would in any document — Show boxes draws each word's rectangle so you can see the mapping land on the ink. Show paragraphs outlines each paragraph the document defines; click one to read its summary. A paragraph that runs over a page break is marked, and selecting it highlights both halves.
